Michelle and Darren - Early spring day walk
Content contribution from Michelle Braniff
Today me and darren decided to go for a walk to make the most of the beautiful spring weather (observing social distancing of course We went along South Quay, around past Billy and Wendy's old flat, along to St. George's Park and ended up walking through one of my favourite parts of GY - the big churchyard (of the Minster). Primroses were everywhere and the blossom trees are bursting into bloom 😊 we saw a few squirrels and lots of birds. It really gave me a boost 👍
On the way home we came across a beautiful big ginger cat sunbathing outside its house, he was gorgeous! He reminded me a bit if Crookshanks from Harry Potter!! I have attached some photos to show you some of the things we saw. I have also attached a picture of a stew we cooked last night - smokey chickpea and potato :) We made a massive pot so we can divide it into batches. Putting to use some really handy Tupperware style containers dad and mum have given us, we have managed to make 8 portions, which we will share with mum and dad. Batch cooking is so cheap, easy and tasty! Anyway, over and out for today, sending huge hugs and kisses to you all, we love you! ❤❤❤❤
