Ideas to make us smile whilst self-isolating 😊
Content contribution from Michelle Braniff
Hi everyone 😊
I've had a few ideas about things we can do to try to keep moral up & thought I would share them with you ❤
1. Have a special occasion night (once or twice a week). Get dressed up in your best bib and tucker and act like you would on a special occasion. For example, set the dinner table like you would on Christmas day, make that extra effort and all the extra touches. Put some music on and have a dance! Or talk about special occasions in the past, and plan some for when this is all over 😊
Me and Darren have decided to do this on sat nights - we are getting dressed up in our best clothes, doing hair/putting perfume/aftershave/makeup on etc and having a special meal. I dont know about anyone else, but I have felt pretty lazy about making the effort I normally make. So tonight we are going all-out to feel good again ❤
Please can anyone who does this take photos of their special occasion night and share them on here? That way we get to feel a part of each others lives 😊🥰❤❤
2. Having a film night- cinema style. That means lights off, favourite snacks etc and then watching movies in style! Maybe everyone could rate each film afterwards and talk about their favourite/least favourite bits??
3. Dance day/night! What better time to learn from youtube tutorials for beginners, or even just stick your favourite music on and free-syle!! I know mum does this already 🥰🥰🥰
Keep fit just by having fun, and releasing those crucial endorphins!!
4. Learn something COMPLETELY NEW! Try Coursera or EdX or search Google for MOOC (Massive Open Online Course). I do remember there was loads of interesting stuff to choose from and I'd like to give it a go 😊 again, we could all share our experiences of this 👍👍👍
5. Sudoku or crossword (or other puzzles) at least one a day, maybe at the same time of day (to create structure and routine 👍)
